Overview

Built By Brok operates BuiltByBrok.com to share handmade wooden decor and, when checkout is available, to take orders. This policy explains what information the website and related order tools may collect, how it is used, and how to reach us with privacy questions.

Customer checkout is not open on the public website at this time. You can browse products and save items in a cart on your device, but you cannot pay or place an order through the site until checkout is enabled.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, information may include:

• Browsing and shopping cart data. Product choices, finish selections, and quantities saved in your browser so your cart can be shown again on a later visit. This cart data is stored on your device and is used to price items against the live catalog.
• Technical request data. Standard information your browser or device sends when loading pages, product photos, and other site content (such as IP address, browser type, and requested URLs). We do not run separate advertising or analytics trackers on the storefront.
• Messages you send us. If you email the studio, we receive whatever you include in that message (for example your name, email address, and the details of your question).
• Order information, when checkout is enabled. If you place an order through the site once checkout opens, we may receive contact details, shipping address, billing-related details needed to complete the purchase, and the products you ordered. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by Built By Brok as full card numbers.

Built By Brok does not offer customer accounts on the website. There is no active newsletter signup that collects email addresses on this site.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Show the shop catalog and keep your cart working on your device
• Respond to questions you send by email
• When checkout is enabled, process and fulfill orders, communicate about those orders, and keep business records related to purchases
• Operate, secure, and improve the website and studio tools that support it
• Meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements that apply to the business

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the storefront for third-party advertising networks.

Payment processing

When customer checkout is enabled, payments will be processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes payment information according to its own terms and privacy policy. Built By Brok does not store customers' full payment card numbers. Card details entered at checkout are handled by Stripe.

Until checkout is enabled on the public site, the storefront does not accept payment card information from shoppers.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to run the website and, when orders are accepted, to process payments and fulfill shipments. Providers that support this shop include:

• Supabase — database, authentication for studio administrators, and storage for product images and related site content
• Stripe — payment processing when checkout is enabled
• Email — messages you send to builtbybrok@gmail.com
• Shipping carriers — such as USPS, FedEx, or UPS when an order ships, using the address and contact details needed for delivery

We share information with service providers as needed to operate our website, process orders, and arrange shipping. These providers may also process information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations. Hosting and infrastructure providers that deliver the website may also process technical request data as part of normal web operations.

Cookies and browser storage

The storefront uses browser local storage to remember cart contents on your device. If checkout tools are used, the site may also set secure cookies needed to protect a checkout session (for example, to recognize the cart and checkout attempt belonging to that browser).

Administrator sign-in for the studio dashboard uses session cookies. Those cookies are for Built By Brok staff access only and are not used for shopper accounts.

You can clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings. Clearing cart storage removes saved cart items on that device.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can browse without creating an account. You can clear cart data stored in your browser at any time. You choose what to include when you email the studio.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws to ask about personal information we hold, request a correction, or ask us to limit certain uses. Some records related to orders, payments, or legal obligations may need to be retained even when other information can be updated or removed.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information used to operate the shop. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

Our website is intended for adults shopping for handmade home decor. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as our website and business practices change. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Any additional notice required by applicable law will be provided.
